We lost a great man, one of the best GMs we’d had in a long time, Chumpy.
That’s right, we just lost the head GM for Albatross18, the only reasoning I’ve heard so far is “he wasn’t doing his job right”. Now, since we don’t know much about what goes on behind the scenes at OGP, but I’m assuming this was something like he had a deadline for something that he didn’t do, or had forgotten about. It couldn’t possibly have been the responsibilities to the players, because of any of the GMs we had, only two were ever concerned about the happiness of the players that I’ve witnessed, Chumpy, and Quechuan.
OGP recently put out a new rule for the GMs, they aren’t allowed to be seen in the lobby, they are only allowed to whisper, or send out notices. Chumpy fought this rule, I don’t know if it’s related to his firing, but either way, the rule is heinous, and unnecessary, it takes just one more fun thing out of the game.
If I knew who was responsible for firing Chump I’d gather an angry mob and raise hell outside the doors of OGP, and Beelzebub himself would crawl out of the cracks of the earth and drag them down to the bowels of hell and rape them daily for all eternity.
Farewell, Chumpy, we’ll miss your ever-welcome presence in A18, and thank you for everything you’ve done for us, from all of us.

I have some bad news, and some good news, Albatross lovers:
- The bad news:
I was reading Sweaty’s Blog recently, and came across a post where he compared A18 to PangyaSEA. He said that hackers were moving to A18 in droves, and how the morale of the community has gone down, and to be honest, it has, and I’ve felt its impact pretty bad recently.
If any of you noticed the most recent update…
you probably said to yourself “this update sucks”, and rightfully, this update sucks, and it seems like A18 is becoming more and more…well…boring…I remember back in the good old days where we always had something cool to look forward to, now all we really have to look forward to is an overly played up form of “meh”. However, if any of you remember back a few months ago, we had a quit rate event, much like the one we have now, but it was in conjunction with a box event where massive amounts of pang were basically thrown at the players (ironically it was around this time I was told by a GM that there was a surplus of pang and they were trying to release more pang items to fix that. All of this put together made us expect the wings, which were something we’d been looking forward to for a very very very very very very very long time (notice that we are now the only server without them).
The reason for this as I see it is as follows.
To tide over podcast missing blues, I figured I should mention that you can find Kibs and I talking up a storm rather constantly on Kibs’ Justin TV. While he’ll be playing games like Tales of the Abyss/Symphonia, Kingdom Hearts, and Zelda: Twilight Princess I will be chatting his ear off in an attempt to annoy him. You’ll find us at odd times, sometimes even at five in the morning, so feel free to check up on it for entertainment when you can.
Also because of Kibs’ generous donation of $2.65 to my amusement I will soon be receiving the cable to broadcast my own games. When this happens I’m assuming Kibs and I will go back and forth through each channel. (She’ll be playing games that have Solid Snake in them, and I assume she owns nothing else, other than tetris.) So please join us for the random things you would never hear in the podcast~! (and some things you will)
